I’ve just started sculpting a new bas-relief portrait, from just a few photos and measurements. It’s life-size and I’m working in clay. Once I’m happy with the result, I’ll let the clay air dry before making a silicon rubber mould. This will take a couple of weeks. The customer has requested an iron resin cast, and luckily they’re prepared to wait… Once the resin has cured, it then takes another couple of months of daily spraying with water, for the ‘rusting’ process to do it’s business!
